PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe array storage device having a small size and a simple structure and including a rotation correction mechanism with small power consumption. SOLUTION: First feedback information is recorded in a first area of a recording medium, and second feedback information same as the first feedback information is recorded in a second area. The rotational misalignment generated between the recording medium and a probe array is detected from the magnitude relation between a value indicated by the first feedback information and a value indicated by the second feedback information.
