PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fixedly retain a gap between a supporting body and a labyrinth seal. SOLUTION: A decompression chamber 36 reduces the pressure in the back side of a casting bead 21a. A rear face labyrinth plate 51 and a seal plate fitting bracket 53 are temporarily fixed to a rear face plate 36a by a fitting bolt 56. The bolt fitting bracket 61 is fitted to the rear face plate 36a. A male thread part 62b in an adjusting bolt 62 is inserted into an insertion hole 61a so as to be screwed to a female screw part 53b. The adjusting bolt 62 is rotated in a C direction, the rear face labyrinth plate 51 is pulled up in a D direction as the direction to which sagging is corrected so as to finely adjust a seal gap G. The rear face labyrinth plate 51 is pulled up, and, after a liner 58 is removed, the rear face labyrinth plate 51 is normally fixed to the rear face plate 36a by the fitting bolt 56. The rear face labyrinth plate 51 is not sagged by gravity, and the seal gap G in the running direction A of a casting drum 32 is fixedly retained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
