An a, ß-unsaturated imine compound of the formula: wherein A represents a phenyl group or the like, where said aromatic hetero ring forms a carbon-to-carbon bond with a main chain of the compound, R represents a hydrogen atom or a C1 to C5 alkyl group optionally substituted with a halogen atom, each of p, q and r represents an integer of 0 to 5, X1s, X2s or X3s may be different each other in case that p, q or r represents 2 or more, X1, X2 and X3 respectively represent a C1 to C6 chain hydrocarbon group optionally substituted with at least one of the group A, or the like.
