The object of the invention is an electric motor, wherein teeth (2) and the slots (3) between them are arranged in the stator (1). A stator winding (5), which is closed in the slots with slot wedges (6), is fitted into the slots via the open slot openings (4). The slot wedges comprise a stem part (7) as well as a head part (8), and the stem part (7) of the slot wedge is aligned in the wedge groove (9) guided by the head part.
