<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of carrying out optimum color reproduction through appropriate color management. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device comprises: detecting units 11, 12 that detect the brightness information of an input video signal and a chromaticity histogram, including the chroma saturation and the hue; and control units 15, 16 that control the color reproduction of the video signal in accordance with the brightness information and the chromaticity histogram detected by the detecting units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
