<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a resource utilization rate of a system by allowing a gateway (GW) which has a high service capability, to serve much more nodes. <P>SOLUTION: An adaptive GW discovery method includes the steps of: a GW periodically adjusting a time-to-live (TTL) of a GW information broadcast packet packaging therein access allowance information to the GW itself based on service capability information, and broadcasting the GW information broadcast packet to a wireless ad-hoc network; a source node, that receives, the packet, selecting one GW as a GW for communicating with another network on the basis of the GW access allowance information attached to the packet; and a source node, that does not receive the packet, broadcasting a GW information request message to neighboring nodes and defining a GW which is identified by GW information packaged in a first received GW information response message, as the GW for communicating with the other network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
