APPARATUS FOR GAS HYDRATE PELLET PRODUCTION

An apparatus for gas hydrate pellet forming according to briquetting roll system in which gas hydrate pellets can be produced in a high-pressure atmosphere and in which low production cost and easy maintenance can be ensured. Further, there is provided an apparatus for gas hydrate pellet production including a separator unit for continuous removal of thin-plate portions (burr) generated incidentally around formed gas hydrate pellets. In the compression forming of gas hydrate, produced in a reaction vessel held at reaction temperature and reaction pressure suitable for hydration reaction between raw gas and raw water, in an atmosphere of the above reaction pressure, a rotary roll and vertical screw unit disposed in the interior of the pressure vessel are driven by a drive unit disposed outside the pressure vessel via a mechanical seal provided on the wall surface of the pressure vessel for the compression forming. Further, the gas hydrate pellets after the compression forming are introduced in the interior of a horizontal rotary cylinder so that any thin-plate portions (burr) generated around pellets are removed.
