A method and a server for managing user information for content service are provided to differentiate service of a terminal by managing segmented information that has device ID for user confirmation, master ID, and child ID. A communication unit(210) performs a communication with a terminal. A contents storage unit(220) classifies the contents and stores according to classification reference information. A user information storage unit(230) stores the user identification. The user information connected in the stored user identification and the using content information as described above are stored. A contents supply decider(240) confirms the user identification and the contents identification information included in the service request message. It is determined whether to provide contents to the terminal. A content providing unit(250) provides the corresponding contents to the terminal.
