PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method of carbon fiber, which requires no washing step, simple and easy in operation and is able to decrease production cost. SOLUTION: The surface treatment method of carbon fiber has a surface treatment step of treating the surface of carbon fiber by using an ozone solution containing dissolved ozone.
