PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the relief valve for a fuel gas supply unit which can assure the safety by solving the pressure resistance problem of the fuel gas supply unit when it is used for the pressure feed line such as city gas. SOLUTION: This relief valve is equipped with the inlet port 36 which is connected to the discharge line 27 of a compressor 7 to boost the city gas etc. of about 2 Kpa of pressure to about 600 Kpa of pressure, the valve port 38 which communicates this inlet port 36 with the outlet port 37, the valve body 51 which can block this valve port 38 freely and the spring member 52 which presses this valve body 51 to the valve port 38. It is characterized that the spring constant of the spring member 52 is set as the spring constant which the valve port 38 is opened when the pressure such as the boosted city gas is set to 0.9 Mpa or more and the valve port 38 is closed when it is set to 0.8 Mpa or less.
