The invention relates to the use of at least one cyclic polydimethyl siloxane, selected from cyclotrisiloxane, cyclotetrasiloxane, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane and cycloheptasiloxane, preferably mixed with a hydrophobically modified clay mineral, in an agent for the temporary deformation of keratin fibres in order to create a matt effect on the keratin fibres that are treated with said agent.
