METHOD & COMPOSITION FOR THE TREATMENT OF ACNE AND SEBUM DEPENDENT PILOSEBACEOUS DISORDERS

A method for the treatment of acne or other disorders of the pilosebaceous unit by administering a therapeutically effective amount of 4,4'- diisoamyloxydiphenylthiourea, one of its derivatives or a mixture thereof to a subject afflicted with such a disorder is disclosed. The invention further relates to the use of a composition comprising 4,4'- diisoamyloxydiphenylthiourea, one of its derivatives or a mixture thereof for the treatment of acne or other disorders of the pilosebaceous unit and to a topical pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of 4,4'-diisoamyloxydiphenylthiourea, one of its derivative or a mixture thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
