POLYMER FILM, POLARIZING PLATE PROTECTIVE FILM, POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer film used for reducing dependency on viewing angle of tint in a liquid crystal display.

SOLUTION: The polymer film includes a wavelength dispersion regulator represented by general formula (I) and has a retardation value that satisfies a prescribed range. In the general formula, R1and R2each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, provided that both R1and R2are not hydrogen atoms at the same time; and R3and R4each independently represents an electron-withdrawing substituent; and R1and R2, or R3and R4may be bonded together to form a ring.
