<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which is improved so that a flexible flat cable fixed to the mounting surface on the back of the traverse chassis is not broken just before a section folded at a right angle. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk drive, a flexible flat cable 6 extending back from the optical pickup 4 toward the back of the traverse chassis 2 is folded at a right angle to fix the folded section 6a and its neighboring section to the mounting surface 20a along the back of the traverse chassis. The mounting surface 20a on the back of the traverse chassis formed on a slope gradually tapered from the back end to the front. The curvature of the cable 6 just before the folded section 6a is increased by the inclined mounting surface 20a and the bending stress concentration is reduced to prevent the cable breakage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
