<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rubber composition with excellent low heating property and wear resistance, and a pneumatic tire using a rubber composition obtained by the method for a tread. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a rubber composition including, based on 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component, 30-150 pts.wt. of silica and 0.5-10 pts.wt. of an organic vulcanizing agent represented by the following general formula (1) comprises a first kneading step of kneading the organic vulcanizing agent and silica to the rubber component, and a second kneading step of thereafter kneading a vulcanizing agent and a vulcanization accelerator: -(R-S<SB>x</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-...(1), wherein R is (CH<SB>2</SB>-CH<SB>2</SB>-O)<SB>m</SB>-CH<SB>2</SB>-CH, x is an integer of 3-6, n is an integer of 10-40, and m is an integer of 1-5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
