LIGHTING APPARATUS AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus which can improve a light emitting efficiency at light adjustment and provide a luminaire.

SOLUTION: The luminaire is provided with a light source portion 1 composed of an organic electroluminescent element, a lighting unit 2 for lighting the light source portion 1 and a case to house the light source portion 1 and the lighting unit 2. The lighting unit 2 is provided with a rectifier circuit portion 3 composed of a diode bridge or the like to make a full wave rectification of an AC power output of an AC power source AC and a PFC circuit portion 4 to convert the full-wave rectified AC power output by the rectifier circuit portion 3 into a DC power output, a current output portion 5 to output a driving current to the light source portion 1 based on the DC output of the PFC circuit portion 4, and a current controlling portion 6 to control an amount of the driving current outputted from the current output portion 5. The current controlling portion 6 conducts a light adjustment of the light source portion 1 by oscillating the driving current so that its minimum value may be a value to exceed zero.
