<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which has less environmental risk and can irradiate light with less unevenness to desired regions in a plurality of directions without using a dangerous inverter circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system is equipped with a substrate 10, a plurality of first LEDs 11, a plurality of second LEDs 12, a first diffusion plate 13, and a second diffusion plate 14. The plurality of first LEDs 11 are arranged linearly on the substrate 10. The plurality of second LEDs 12 are arranged linearly on the substrate 10. The first diffusion plate 13 is installed in a first irradiation direction of the plurality of first LEDs 11, and the second diffusion plate 14 is installed in a second irradiation direction of the plurality of second LEDs 12.
