PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which has high sensitivity of laser engraving and can be used for a printing plate precursor capable of direct print making by means of laser engraving, to provide a printing plate precursor and a relief printing plate using the resin composition, and to provide a manufacturing method of the relief printing plate. SOLUTION: The resin composition for laser engraving comprises at least an ionic liquid (A) and a binder polymer (B). The printing plate precursor and the relief printing plate using the resin composition are provided. Further, the method of manufacturing the relief printing plate is also provided.
