A device for dispensing a concentrated sample of a source solution (3) containing electrically charged particles. The sample has a higher concentration of the electrically charged particles than the concentration in the source solution. The device comprises: a collecting- dispensing member (1), for collecting some of the solution (3) from a well (2) by dipping a tip of the member (1) in the solution (3) and for dispensing the concentrated sample; and an electric field applicator (15) for applying an electric field on the source solution or on the collected solution, for locally concentrating the electrically charged particles in the sample before dispensing the sample.
