<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer system which prevents a warning from being repeatedly given to the same user when notifying shortage of consumables or replacement of parts to the user in advance, in the printer system equipped with a function to authenticate the user of a printer. <P>SOLUTION: In the printer system which performs printout after authentication of the user who has instructed print processing of a print job by the printer 2 side, duplicate warning to the same user can be prevented by identifying a user of the printer at the warning by the user authentication function; recording the warned user in a memory means; comparing authentication information of the printer user with a record of the warned user registered in the memory means when the same warning occurs again; and preventing generation of the warning when they match. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
