PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device capable of improving color purity by introduction of an optical resonant structure and of suppressing deterioration of luminous efficiency. SOLUTION: The organic EL device includes an organic EL layer 110b formed between a light reflecting electrode 12 and a light transmission electrode 111, wherein the organic EL layer 110b is constructed to be able to emit light in a plurality of colors and emit light in one color for each of pixel units, a semi-transmissive reflective layer 126 selectively transmitting or reflecting the light from the organic EL layer 110b is formed in a state that the organic EL layer 110b is placed between the semi-transmissive reflective layer 126 and the light reflecting electrode 12, while, a reflection coefficient of the semi-transmissive reflective layer 126 in the pixel is different for each of the pixels having different light emission colors.
