PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stacking of sheets before and after the occurrence of the jam on a delivery tray in a mixed manner by recovering the sheet after the occurrence of the jam by a sheet recovering member different from the delivery tray. SOLUTION: A switching member 18 is arranged in a receiving position C, and a bundle of sheets is formed by carrying the conveyed sheets P onto a processing tray and aligning them, and is delivered after staple processing. When a detection sensor SC does not detect a rear end of the sheet P after a detection sensor SE detects a rear end of the sheet P and prescribed time passes, control means 20 switches the switching member 18 to be on a recovery position D based on a jam signal from the detection sensor SC in order to recover a following sheet P by the sheet recovery member 17.
