PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus which makes it possible to confirm the progress conditions of washing and the time to the end of washing without the need of moving to a place where the endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus is installed when being in the range that the endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus is in a visual field even when an operator is present at a place away from the endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus, and is capable of performing efficient washing, in the endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus for washing an endoscope by a plurality of processes. SOLUTION: The endoscope washing and disinfecting apparatus for washing the endoscope by the plurality of processes is provided with a washing tub for housing and washing the endoscope, a lid body of the washing tub, and an illumination means for illuminating the inside of the washing tub. Also, the illumination means makes the state of illumination inside the washing tub in at least one of the plurality of processes be different from that in the other processes.
