The invention relates to a renewable energy production and storage apparatus (1) intended to supply electricity to an electricity-consuming unit (2). The apparatus consists of solar panels (3) and a hydrogen-producing unit (4, 7, 8, 9, 10), the latter including an electrolyser (4) for producing hydrogen and oxygen when powered by the solar panels (3), a tank (8) and a compressor (10) for injecting the hydrogen supplied by the electrolyser into the tank. The apparatus is characterised in that the solar panels (3) are intended to supply the electricity that they produce to the electricity-consuming unit (2), as a priority, up to the connected power of the latter. In addition, the apparatus (1) includes a branch unit (6) connected at the output of the solar panels and intended to supply the electrolyser (4) with part of the electricity produced when the power produced by the solar panels exceeds the connected power.
