METHOD FOR PROCESSING ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT IC CHIP WITH MOBILE PHONE

A method for substituting the payment through the IC chip of a portable phone is provided to perform the payment through the second payment means which is previously stored on a network as being associated with the first payment means, in case the first payment means cannot be used. A payment terminal(105) comprises the first payment means and receives or extract information about the first payment means which is equipped in an IC chip from a client wireless terminal(100) having the IC chip. The payment terminal generates a predetermined payment approval request statement, and then transmits it the first payment server(110) which corresponds to the extracted information. The first payment server determines whether the payment approval is possible through the first payment means based on the information about the first payment means included in the statement. If the payment approval is impossible, the first payment server transmits the information about the first payment means and the payment approval request statement to the second server or apparatus(120).
