<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angular contact ball bearing reduced in weight by reducing an axial dimension of an outer ring, and prevented from degradation of assemblability. <P>SOLUTION: When a protrusion of a ball 4 from an upper end surface of the outer ring 2 with the ball 4 and a retainer 5 assembly placed on the outer ring 2 is taken as δA, a ball diameter is taken as Bd, an inner diameter of the outer ring upper end surface is taken as OD, and a circumscribed circle diameter of the ball 4 is taken as RD, δA is set as 0.35Bd≤δA≤0.5Bd so that the center C of the ball 4 may not be positioned at more upper than the upper end surface of the outer ring 2, and relation of RD≤OD≤1.1RD is satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
