PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a picture picked up by a video imaging unit of an entrance slave unit via a video projection unit of a living-room master unit, and to prevent howling when a telephone set answers a living-room call from the entrance slave unit which is transferred through a living-room master unit to allow communication. SOLUTION: When the living-room call from the entrance slave unit 1 is sent to the living-room master unit 2 and to the telephone set 3 through the living-room master unit 2, and is answered to allow speech communication, channels are formed between telephone set speech communication units 300, 301, and 302 of the telephone set and slave unit speech communication units 102 and 103 of the entrance slave unit in response to an answer by the telephone set, but a channel between master unit speech communication units 201 and 202 of the living-room master unit and a slave unit speech communication unit of the entrance slave unit, is disconnected, and picture output operation for a picture picked up by the video imaging unit 101 of the entrance slave unit is carried on a picture projection unit 200 of the living-room master unit.
