PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing at least an electron transporting agent, a charge generating agent and a binder resin, formed on a conductive substrate, wherein the electron transporting agent is a compound expressed by general formula (1). In the formula, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>represent 1-6C alkyl groups, 1-6C alkoxy groups, 6-20C aralkyl groups, 6-20C aryl groups or 3-10C cycloalkyl groups and n represents 1 or 2.
