PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing member capable of effectively preventing damage to a metallic sheet having a large area and including extremely small holes. SOLUTION: The packing member 30 packs a metallic sheet 10 having a pair of holding parts 11 and a center 13 located between the pair of holding parts with holes 15 formed therein. The packing member has a supporting base member 40 and a pair of holding mechanisms 35 fixed to the supporting base member while holding the holding parts of the metallic sheet. The supporting base member can be deformed in a fitting state in which a space Lb between the pair of holding mechanisms is equal to or smaller than the length Lc between the pair of holding parts before the holding, and a holding state that the space between the pair of holding mechanisms is larger than the length Lc between the pair of holding parts before the holding.
