PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual separation apparatus for lengthwise/crosswise connected packages which has a simple structure for separating package units that are lengthwise and crosswise connected to one another via flanges in which separating perforations are formed along peripheral edges of lids of the packages. SOLUTION: In the individual separation apparatus 1 for the lengthwise/crosswise connected packages, pairs of conveying rollers sandwiching the flanges of the packages 3 from above and below are disposed upstream and downstream so as to be opposite to each other, The pair of upstream conveying rollers 20 are intermittently-drivable conveying rollers. To the upper roller 32 of the pair of downstream conveying rollers, a separation roller 33 slightly larger than the diameter of the upper roller 32 is added. While the pair of upstream conveying rollers 20 are stopped, the drive of the pair of downstream conveying rollers moves downstream packages 3 forward, and cuts perforations formed perpendicular to the moving direction, and the perforations 4 formed in the moving direction are cut by the separation roller 33 added to the downstream upper conveying roller 32.
