PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamp pad cover cloth which can eliminate an ink leakage. SOLUTION: This stamp pad cover cloth of a synthetic fiber is prepared by melting the outer peripheral edge face of the cloth, and the outer peripheral edge face of the cloth is melt-cut by means of an ultrasonic wave, so that the adjacent yarns are fusion-bonded together in the cut area. Consequently, no yarn fray is found in the cut area and therefore, the ink leakage attributed to the yarn fray can be eliminated. In addition, there is no restriction in the direction of the cloth to be cut, so that the cloth can be patterned in the most efficient heading way. Further, since time required for cutting is extremely short and the part to be melted is limited to only a small width in the cut area, no cloth waste is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
