METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF COATED PAPER

Disclosed is a method for producing a coated paper, which comprises the following steps: a coating step of coating a raw paper having an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer applied thereon with a coating solution containing at least a pigment and an adhesive agent, thereby yielding a coated paper; and a calendaring step of calendaring the coated paper so that the water content of the calendared coated paper becomes 5.5 wt% or less. Also disclosed is a method for producing a coated paper, which comprises the following steps: a coating step of coating a raw paper having a water content of 4 wt% or less with a coating solution containing at least a pigment and an adhesive agent, thereby yielding a coated paper; and a calendaring step of calendaring the coated paper so that the water content of the calendared coated paper becomes 5.5 wt% or less.
