A paper folding apparatus which raises the folding capability is provided that the good bending of the folded part of the paper is obtained by stopping the rotation of the folding roller for a certain time. A paper folding apparatus which improves a folding capability comprises a pair of folding rollers(110) which rotate in gear so that the paper is flowed in and is compressed, a folding roller drive motor(120) in which a pair of folding rollers rotate, a blade(130) which pressurizes the center of the paper, a blade drive motor(140) in which blade reciprocates, position sensing means(150) which senses the location of the paper flowed in with the drive of blade between a pair of folding rollers, and a controller(160) which controls the drive of the folding roller.
