A composition for forming an electrode is provided to perform firing at 600 °C or less and to have no increase of resistance value by using aluminium having specific shape and thickness or its alloy film piece. A composition for forming an electrode comprises conductive filler 5~95 weight% which has thickness of 0.05~0.75 micron, has flake-shape, and contains aluminium as a main component; organic binder 3~60 weight%; and the balance of solvent. The conductive pillar is aluminium or aluminium alloy. The conductive pillar is aluminium or aluminium alloy. The organic binder is at least one selected from a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (i) a carboxyl group-containing monomer such as acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and itaconic acid, and (ii) a monomer having ethylenically unsaturated double bond, such as acrylic acid esters, styrene, acrylic amide and acrylonitrile.
