PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set excellently each address to all DLCs without requiring much labor or time, in a weighing device having a plurality of digital load cells connected to a controller through a common communication network. SOLUTION: Each digital load cell (DLC) 1 has a means for storing or generating a random number sequence and a unique identification number, and each DLC 1 responds the unique identification number of the DLC 1 to a controller 15 after a time corresponding to a numerical value selected from the random number sequence after receiving a request command from the controller 15. When detecting by the responding DLC 1 that another DLC 1 has responded in advance, the DLC 1 suspends response to the request command, and the controller 15 receives unique identification number information of the DLC 1, and sets and transmits the address for communication identification to the DLC 1 having the unique identification number, and the DLC 1 having the unique identification number receives address data and acquires the data as own address.
