PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete self-heating system having an electroconductive concrete. SOLUTION: This concrete self-heating system comprises a concrete slab having a surface layer. The surface layer is formed of an electroconductive concrete, and has two electrodes. The electrodes are mounted in the surface layer to supply electric current through the surface layer. Each electrode comprises two plates and a large number of bridges. These plates are electroconductive and mounted parallel to each other. These bridges are mounted between the two plates to form a large number of holes and connect two plates to each other. Each hole is formed between the adjacent bridges, and so set that the unset electroconductive concrete can extend through the hole and hold the electrode. The system can quickly and efficiently dissolve ice and snow without providing damage to roads, bridges, runways, and expressways. These roads can have a long service life.
