PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic preparation device for blood-collecting tubes, constituted so as not to erroneously recognize the housing position of a blood-collecting tube by a control unit even if a blood-collecting tube housing case is set to any housing place. SOLUTION: The automatic preparation device for blood-collecting tubes has a blood-collecting tube housing means having a plurality of detachable blood-collecting tube housing cases, a transfer means, a label printing and pasting means, a discharge means, a blood-collecting tube recovery mechanism and the control unit for controlling the operation of the respective means. Further, a discrimination means capable of reading the discrimination data of the blood-collecting tube housing cases are provided to the respective blood-collecting tube housing cases, and a reading means for reading the discrimination data from the discrimination means provided to the respective blood-collecting tube housing cases are provided to the blood-collecting tube housing means. The discrimination data of the individual blood-collecting tube housing cases and the discrimination data of the blood-collecting tubes housed in the blood-collecting tube housing cases are preliminarily related to each other to be stored in a control means and the control means is constituted so as to recognize the housing place of the blood-collecting tubes on the basis of the discrimination data of the blood-collecting tube housing cases read by the reading means.
