The aim of the invention is to provide a lateral disk cage for guiding rolling bodies in a large-diameter rolling bearing, a corresponding large-diameter roller bearing, and a method for the production thereof, combining a high rated load with an advantageous production method. To this end, a lateral disk cage (1) is use to guide rolling bodies (8) in a large-diameter rolling bearing, said cage comprising two cage lateral disks (2, 3) and transversal connecting pieces (4). Said connecting pieces (4) are regularly interspaced in relation to each other in the peripheral direction, and are connected to the cage lateral disks (2, 3) in a fixed manner. The transversal connecting pieces (4) are arranged between the rolling bodies (8) and are designed and/or arranged in such a way as to guide same (8).
