<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a thrust needle roller bearing allowing stable holding of a needle roller and reduction of cost. <P>SOLUTION: This retainer stores and holds the needle roller in a pocket. The pocket is provided with a first annular member 2 formed with a guide surface held by guiding an outer diameter surface of a rotating axis in the needle roller, a second annular member 3 having a window portion opened to be opposed to the pocket and overlapped with the first annular member 2, and a locking portion regulating falling of the needle roller.
