<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of stainless steel capable of decreasing reduction energy of Cr and increasing the yield of Cr into molten steel, when reutilizing a waste such as dust generated in a stainless steel manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of stainless steel includes the stainless steel manufacturing process 1 for making a stainless steel H by smelting raw materials to a molten steel G by using an electric furnace 11 and refining the molten steel G by using AOD (Argon Oxygen Decarburization) 12 facility as a refinery furnace, wherein a carbonaceous reducing agent B is added to a zinc-containing waste A such as electric furnace dust generated from the stainless steel manufacturing process 1 to form an agglomerate C with carbonaceous material incorporated therein by a briquette press 2, and by heating this agglomerate C with carbonaceous material incorporated therein in a rotary hearth furnace 3, zinc is removed by reduction and volatilization to be a zinc-removed agglomerate D, and this zinc-removed agglomerate D is fed as a coolant during oxidation period and/or reduction period of the AOD 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
