PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone which is small in a carrying position and further comprises a large-sized interface. SOLUTION: In an operating position (a), a lower part 602 comprises at least one number keyboard 609 and a battery 610. Further, a charging device 612 is connected to an edge of the lower part 602. In a carrying position (b), an upper part 601 and the lower part 602 are disposed to be approximately overlapped by sliding each other. In a carrying position diagram, the keyboard enters a gap between the upper part and the lower part, so that it can not be used by a user. A microphone 611 is not covered in the carrying position, so that a mobile telephone 600 can be used as a telephone apparatus. The mobile telephone is capable of, even in the carrying position, exchanging with a prescribed base station a signal message connected to an idle mode of a normal cellular radio system terminal device.
