摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary transmission shift position determining apparatus which can accurately recognize a range position without requiring a switch or the like for determining the range of this auxiliary transmission to a vehicle with the auxiliary transmission, and a vehicular gear shift indicator. SOLUTION: A four-wheel-drive vehicle having the auxiliary transmission is provided with a low range gear estimating map to be used when the auxiliary transmission is in a low range, and a high range gear estimating map to be used when the auxiliary transmission is in a high range. When an NV ratio (a ratio of engine speed to vehicle speed) at vehicle start is within a range of NV ratios unique to the low range that are established only with the low range gear estimating map, it is determined that the auxiliary transmission is in the low range, and when it is outside of this range of NV ratios unique to the low range, it is determined that the auxiliary transmission is set in the high range.
