PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the error of the detection of the lowering of liquid level or liquid shortage by coping beforehand with a situation causing the possibility of the lowering of the liquid level or the liquid shortage of a dipping tank. SOLUTION: The dipping apparatus 1 is provided with the dipping tank 3 housing a liquid, a supply tank 4 for housing the liquid, a pump 5 for supplying the liquid in the supply tank 4 to the dipping tank 3, an overflow receiver 6 for receiving the liquid overflown from the dipping tank 3 and making the received liquid flow down and returning to the supply tank 4, a detecting tank 7 for receiving the liquid overflown from the dip tank 3, making a part of the received liquid flow down to return to the supply tank 4 and overflowing the remaining liquid to flow down to the overflow receiver 6, a liquid level sensor 21 for detecting the liquid level of the detecting tank 7 and a controller 22 for controlling the quantity of the supplied liquid by the pump 5 based on the detected liquid level.
