PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid adsorbent for a dust control product, which is environmentally friendly, keeping the cost of washing low, free of uncomfortable odor, usable even for natural stone material or the like, and hygienic. SOLUTION: The liquid adsorbent for a dust control product is prepared by diluting a mixture of water-soluble polyurethane and emulsified vegetable fat and oil or animal fat and oil, with water so that the content of the mixture becomes 2 to 15 wt.%. The obtained adsorbent exhibits high dust removing property and tackiness owing to the tackiness of polyurethane and to the performance of the fat and oil for removing stains on a floor. As the adsorbent is water-soluble and easily dissolved in washing water, the cost of washing can be kept low. As the adsorbent comprises water, polyurethane and fat and oil, the adsorbent gives fewer loads to the environment even when the adsorbent is drained into sea as it is; and the adsorbent is almost odorless. The adsorbent does not cause changes in a color tone, differently from mineral oil, even when used for a stone material or the like.
