PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition from which a rubber foam having low density and a high open cell rate and maintaining the feature of the molded body before foaming can be obtained, to provide a rubber foam obtained by vulcanizing and foaming the above rubber composition, and to provide a method for manufacturing the rubber foam. SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains the following components (A), (B), (C) and (D), wherein the content of (B) is 50 to 150 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of component (A); the content of component (C) is 5 to 20 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of component (A); the content of component (D) is 10 to 200 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of component (A); the content of component (E) is 0.5 to 2 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of component (A); and the composition shows Mooney viscosity (ML<SB>1+4</SB>100°C) of 30 to 70 at 100°C. The components are: (A) an ethylene-α-olefin non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber having 7 wt.% or more content of the non-conjugated diene; (B) carbon black; (C) an azo foaming agent; (D) a foaming assistant; and (E) a vulcanizing agent,.
