PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for shortening a transformation-starting time and a transformation-finishing time in a process for carrying out transforming crystallization of a slurry solution containing Phe nonhydrate crystal to a monohydrate crystal. SOLUTION: The method for precipitating the L-phenylalanine monohydrate crystal comprises irradiating the slurry solution of the L-phenylalanine containing the nonhydrate crystal of the L-phenylalanine with ultrasound in a temperature range in which the monohydrate crystal of the L-phenylalanine is crystallized.
