PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for controlling black spot by which the control of the black spot can safely and effectively be carried out without causing bad effects on a human body, the environment or the like, and to provide a method for controlling the black spot of a plant. SOLUTION: The composition for controlling the black spot comprises an aqueous solution containing an essence extracted from leaves of eucalyptus, and a water-soluble chitosan as active ingredients for preventing the infection with the black spot and the onset thereof. The method for controlling the black spot of the plant includes spraying the composition for controlling the black spot on the plant before the infection or the plant after the infection in a target area of black spot control to prevent the infection of the plant with the black spot or to prevent the onset after the infection.
