[Class 102(i)] In an injection pump for fuel or the like in which a plunger slidably disposed in a barrel is driven by an eccentric ring, the plunger 5 is carried by the barrel 3 and is in sliding engage. ment with the ring 4 the ring being couplec to the barrel by a separate driving mem ber 11 positioned be tween the inner surface of the ring and the outer circumferential surface of the barrel so as to eliminate lateral pressure on the plunger and reduce the wear of its sealing surfaces. The member 11 may comprise a projection rigidly connected to the ring and engaging with lateral play a recess 12 in the barrel, and it is preferably disposed close to the plunger. The latter may have an outwardly curved surface which is pressed against the ring by a spring 6. |
