The invention relates to a device for protecting the teat (3) of a vessel (1) comprising a neck (2) with a thread and a traditional teat (3) having at the base thereof a collar (7) for the sealed attachment thereof on the upper end of the neck (2) using an attachment ring (4). The device further includes a circular bearing ring (8) rotatingly mounted about the neck (2) of the vessel (1) and axially retained in at least one direction by the attachment ring (4), and two half-shells (14, 15) hinged on the bearing ring (8) so as to assume a closed position in which both half-shells (14, 15) bear against each other and define an enclosed space containing the teat (3), and an open position in which both half-shells are remote from each other and enable normal use of the teat (3). |
