A method and device for traffic flow switching are disclosed. The method includes: detecting the link quality of a main link and of a standby link corresponding to the main link, and switching the traffic flow of the main link to the standby link when the link quality parameter of the main link is greater than or equal to a preset threshold, and when the link quality parameter of the standby link is less than said preset threshold. The invention thus provides the advantage of switching traffic flow according to link quality, thus ensuring normal traffic transmission, and improving network reliability.
